Payscale.com recently ran the numbers to determine the top 10 jobs for veterans (as reflected by data in their proprietary career information databases) to show returning veterans where their compatriots are finding the most jobs—“the most common, well-paid and quickly growing professions chosen by veterans”--and they are: 

1. Management consultant 

2. Program Manager in Information Technology (IT)

3. Systems Analyst 

4. FBI Agent 

5. Field Service Engineer, Medical Equipment 

6. Systems Engineer (Computer Networking / IT) 

7. Information Technology (IT) Consultant 

8. Intelligence Analyst 

9. Helicopter Pilot 

10. Network Engineer, IT
